It Takes a Village
When we talk about DaVita being a village, we mean it. The citizens of a village are members of a community working together and taking care of each other. At DaVita, we take care of our teammates and patients through many different programs and projects, as well as outside organizations. A few of the 47 programs and outside organizations that DaVita supports are:

Network
Teammates working together to provide financial aid for teammates in our community during times of crisis. Monies are donated by teammates on a voluntary basis, and for every dollar a teammate contributes, the company takes one dollar from shareholder profits and matches that contribution.
Dialysis Patient Citizens (DPC)
A
public advocacy organization and one of the leading nationwide, non-profit patient organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for dialysis patients.
KT Community Foundation
The Foundation provides financial grants to teammates or family members for materials, equipment, tools and supplies necessary to plan and complete community projects.
The Kidney TRUST - 501(c)(3)
A public charity founded by DaVita dedicated to raising awareness about chronic kidney diseases in America. DaVita teammates support the TRUST through two main activities, the KAT Walk (a walkathon held in cities across the U.S.) and Tour DaVita (a four day, 200+ mile bike ride). In 2007, KAT Walks and Tour DaVita raised over $1,000,000 for kidney disease awareness and prevention.
Bridge of Life – DaVita Medical Missions - 501(c)(3)

In addition to these programs, all of our clinics, hospital units and business offices are active in their local communities. Be it through donations to boys and girls groups, volunteer work at schools or homeless shelters or many other activities, we support our local communities. DaVita is not just an organization, but a village where our patients, teammates and surrounding communities are all priorities!
