What is the Difference Between a Community and a Company?

The DaVita Community is a unique place where we care for our patients, each other and our world. Through most of the many programs and foundations established by DaVita, we find ways to give to each other through awards, in times of crisis, for educational purposes, and to help our local communities become a better place. When we choose to become "citizens" of the DaVita Community, we make a decision to engage our head, heart and hands for the greater good of those around us.

Another way DaVita acts like a community, is we listen and we care about what the citizens of our Village have to say. DaVita was not only the first Fortune 500® company to make the 2008 WorldBlu List of Most Democratic Workplaces, it was also the only Health Care organization selected.
