Experience Our Award-Winning Training Programs 

You Provide the Passion, and We'll Provide the Training!

Our training and education programs serve an important function in our community.  At DaVita, we are committed to the professional and personal growth of our teammates.  Both our frontline teammates in the field and our business office teammates, have the opportunity to attend and enroll in multiple training and education events.  Some of the programs, events and tools offered are:  

DaVita Academy

  • Two-day “Leadership Development” and cultural orientation program
  • Teammates learn tools related to communication, conflict resolution, customer service, compliance and medical documentation


DaVita Learning Management System (LMS) 

  • Comprised of over 300 online learning programs to develop teammate technical skills and provide just-in-time training on an ongoing basis
  • Courses are developed using a variety of training techniques to meet the needs of most learning styles


Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Training programs 

  • Not only is Continuous Improvement one of our seven Core Values, but we also offer two different training programs to help teammates either lead or participate in a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) project

  • An internal website for DaVita Nurses easily accessed from home or work
  • Provides easy access to a wealth of information, including free CE offerings, 300+ educational articles, nurse success stories, and much more
  • Includes a "Got a Question" forum, where DaVita specialists answer your questions


Preceptor Program

  • Three-day intensive “train-the-trainer” workshop for our Preceptors


Ation Station Daze (ASD) 

  • One-day program for our clinical and acute teammates to go through four possible station to increase their knowledge on selected topics, which include:  vascular access – documentation/medication preparation and infection control – machine set-up, prime and safety testing – data correlation-treatment and complication-emergency situations/water purification


DaVita Way of Management (DWOM) 

  • In-depth leadership self-discovery program for our manager level teammates


Reality 101 

  • Teammates train for a week as a Patient Care Technician to improve their understanding of teammates who perform this demanding role very day


DaVita Prep 

  • Assist teammates in learning the basics of nephrology and dialysis treatments


DSS Leadership 

  • Six-month comprehensive leadership and supervisor development program
