FAQ's 

Q. What if I am a current teammate and want to apply to a job?
A. We value and support your development and are glad that you are considering growing your career within our Village.  It is VERY important that you search for job opportunities from the DaVita VillageWeb (our Intranet), at http://villageweb.davita.com.  
Q. How do I apply?
A. First, please click on a "Search Openings" link from our Career Opportunities page on this site.  For the page that follows,  you will be able to select the role you would like to apply for, and then apply online.  All applications must be submitted through our online system for consideration.  We are unable to accept resumes via email, fax or mail. 

To apply, it’s best to follow the on-screen directions.  At times, there are more detailed instructions on the right-hand side of the screen so don’t forget to look there if you get stuck.  Here are some tips before you start:

  • You can search for your next great career opportunity by using keywords, job type menu items, and/or location (by city/state).  If you don’t find what you are looking for on the first try, please modify your search and try one of the other methods.
  • If this is your first visit to the DaVita Career Search page, you should select “New User” to create an account.
  • If you are a returning user, you should log in with your account information – or use the links to retrieve your user name or password.  Using your existing log-in information will ensure that you don’t have to re-enter all of your information.  Plus, you can see which jobs you have already applied to.
  • If you already have a resume created, you can upload it at the first step of the application process.  The system will automatically extract the relevant information included in the resume and fill out part of the online submission for you.  You will have the opportunity to review all of the information and make any changes that are necessary before submitting your final application.
  • If you do not see a role which interests you at this time, you can still create a general profile, which allows you to input all of your information and let us know what kind of job you are interested in.  With this, we can find YOU when we have new opportunities available.
Q. Can I fax or mail in my resume?
A. All applications must be submitted through our online system for consideration.  We are unable to accept resumes via email, fax or mail.
Q. What if I do not have a resume?
A. If you do not have a resume, you can still apply to positions at DaVita.  At the first step of the application process, you will be asked if you want to upload a resume.  If you select NO, you can walk through the application process and input the information manually.
Q. Did you receive my application?
A. Please check your email account that you used when you applied online.  When you apply for a position or submit a general profile via our online system, you will receive a confirmation email to let you know that your information was successfully received.  In addition, you can log in anytime to view the list of jobs you have successfully applied to (or to complete an application you have saved as a draft).
Q. I have already applied online—when will I be contacted?
A. Due to the high volume of applicants, we are unable to respond to every candidate.  Only those candidates who match the preferred job qualifications will be contacted for phone or in-person interviews.  If you are selected for further review you will likely be contacted within a week or two of applying.
Q. What positions do you have open in my area?
A. All of the current openings we are accepting external applications for are posted online.  You can search these openings at the Careers Opportunities page.  You have several options to search for jobs in a particular geography.  To see all of the jobs available in a geography, use the “location” feature to search by city and state.  If you want to fine-tune your search results from there, you can add keywords and/or use the menu options to narrow to a certain job type or category.
Q. How do I learn about future openings?
A. You can visit our Careers Site any time to search our job opportunities.  In addition, after you build your profile and submit your application you can let us know that you want to receive email notifications.  You can log in to our system and update this notification at any time as well.
Q. How do I replace my existing resume with an updated one?
A. You may replace your existing resume with your updated resume by uploading a document with the SAME file name.  For example, if you would like to replace resume JohnDoeResume.doc with an updated file, you must name the new and updated file, JohnDoeResume.doc, and then upload this file into your profile.
Q. My account is locked due to too many unsuccessful login attempts. How do I unlock my account?
A. Please wait approximately 6 minutes for the system to unlock your account  and then click on the "Forgot your password?" link from the Careers login page to receive an email on how to reset your password.  The email subject line is "Forgot your password?" so be sure to check your SPAM/junk folder.
