DaVita is seeking a talented Payroll Coordinator – Level II to join our Payroll Team in Federal Way, WA!!!<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" />


If you have previous Payroll Department experience in a corporate setting working with reports, reviewing and analyzing records and have a clear understanding of gross-to-net calculations then this may be the job for you!  Multi-state, particularly California state payroll experience is definitely a plus!

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: 

This position creates, reviews and audits time and attendance and payroll records for large divisions in a multi-state, multi-company environment. Position works closely with other teams within the Payroll department and DaVita.  Participates in year-end Payroll functions as well as exercises knowledge of Payroll tax and law in daily work. Exercises good judgment based on Payroll policies and best practice.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform work of Coordinator I, Payroll:
  • Reviews facility time and attendance hours in PeopleNet to ensure teammates time is accurately calculated based on Federal and State regulations.
  • Reviews and audits payroll results after time has been imported into Workday to ensure that teammates have been paid in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
  • Works closely with field teammates to ensure that time and pay are accurately reflected for teammates.
  • Reviews and analyzes reports to determine teammate pay and ensures that PeopleNet and Workday are in sync by performing the necessary data entry.
  • Verifies Paid Time Off accruals, balances, and transfers.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform pay calculations including, but not limited to, gross pay to net pay calculations, bonuses, vacations, terminations and other processing exception items.
  • Requires knowledge and understanding of how paycheck is calculated, including pre/post tax deductions, and how the paycheck translates to the Form W-2.
  • Additionally, creates and works with EIB spreadsheets for upload of changes to payroll data into WorkDay payroll system via the EIB process.
  • Actively participates in process improvement teams.
  • Participates in year-end payroll activities and tasks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

(Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required):

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3 years’ payroll experience in a corporate payroll department, strongly preferred 
  • Multi-state payroll experience preferred (California payroll knowledge/experience strongly desired!)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of payroll processes and procedures in a high-volume,  fast-paced, production environment
  • WorkDay and PeopleNet experience preferred
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment
