Here's what you can expect as an Information Governance Leader at DaVita:

  • Directs the development and implementation of strategies to maximize the company’s information governance, data quality, information architecture, and information asset management capabilities.  Influences and drives awareness of information governance to the enterprise.
  • Provides direction on Information Lifecycle Governance principles to business groups throughout the company, including direction on implementing processes for information management, data quality, information architecture, and information asset management. Collaborates with business groups involved in information management activities to apply best practices to those activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.

  • Establish and lead strategic direction for information governance, data quality, information architecture and information asset management capabilities.

  • Ensure business priorities related to information governance are clear and executed on appropriately.

  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to design and develop an optimal set of enterprise information governance standards. Ensure that these enterprise standards are used effectively across the business. 

  • Direct and collaborate with business and IT partners to use capabilities in information lifecycle governance, data quality, information architecture, and information asset management to support business operations and strategic goals and objectives.

  • Provide the leadership necessary to build a high- performance work team. Ensure team understands how the information management activities they are responsible for align with information management activities performed by other teams.

  • Advise Lifecycle Governance Executive and Advisory committees on information governance, data quality, information architecture, and information asset management best practices, including implementation of those practices.

  • Foster proactive communication between business and IT teams to improve effectiveness and value of information governance, data quality, information architecture and information asset management processes to the business.

  • 6+ years of information or data management experience – including 4+ years in Legal, Records or IT function
  • 4+ years of leadership or management (coaching, performance management and employee development) experience
  • Demonstrated experience in information management and information governance
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Maturity and flexibility to work effectively with senior management and teammates across the enterprise
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or 6 years’ experience in information or data management
