Position Description

  • Hemodialysis Clinical Coordinator – DaVita Flint
  • Acute Clinical Coordinator, RN, Full Time, Days, 10 hours shifts
  • $5,000 sign on bonus for any Dialysis Trained Nurses (current teammates are not eligible)

This position provides care for dialysis patients in an Acute care setting at Hurley Medical Center

As a Clinical Coordinator at DaVita you will have the opportunity to excel as the superior dialysis nurse, mentor and clinical expert you are-and have a dramatic impact on the lives of our patients and their families. This position provides care for dialysis patients and teammates in an acute care setting (i.e. hospital or LTAC).  “Out of staffing time” is allocated to allow for clinical coordination.  In this vital Registered Nursing role, you will coordinate patient care and services.  The typical schedule is 10 hr shifts, 4-days a week with a flexible start time of 6am-8am.  Saturdays are rotated, usually 2 Saturdays a month.  Sundays are on call, also rotating, with usually only 1 Sunday a month.  During “In staffing time” you will provide care to patients in need of dialysis treatment in a multi-station treatment room or at the bedside. You will work closely with the Nephrologist in a multidisciplinary team in order to provide life-saving treatments to ill patients suffering from kidney injury/disease.

What you can expect as an acute dialysis nurse at DaVita?

To work both autonomously and as a team in a hospital environment without the typical hospital routine. Provide the highest level of care at hospitals units and ensure your patients' safety, comfort, and well-being with a nurse to patient ratio typically not more than 1:3. As a nurse at DaVita you are making a difference in the renal patient population. You can build your career in nephrology and practice multiple therapies (such as CRRT, Apheresis, PD).

"I love working in the hospital setting where I am able to provide a life-saving therapy, either dialysis, apheresis or CRRT when a patient is in crisis, and I love working in an environment where I have a lower nurse to patient ratio and can help provide education to our patients and their family, all the while I continue to learn as well.”  Kim C.

We are looking for a hard working teammate, with a great attitude!

Training is provided to both experienced and non-experienced dialysis nurses. An experienced nurse will receive a training that is tailored to them, while a nurse that does not have previous experience will receive an orientation up to 12 weeks, and includes theory and hands-on learning.
