Position Description


The Sr. Manager, Telecom owns responsibility for the enterprise wide effectiveness and efficiency of the voice and collaboration space. Provides vision and guidance to grow and improve the telecom and collaboration segments of the organization.  This IT leader drives the overall availability of telecom infrastructure in a 24x7, global environment.  The Sr. Manager, Telecom reports to the Sr. IT Director, Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


 

·         Provide vision and guidance for enterprise voice and collaboration roadmap, assess emerging technologies, and provide strategic leadership for organization.

·         Manage budget and forecast for Telecom cost center.  Ensure targets are hit and year over year efficiency gains are identified.

·         Develop and implement processes and procedures for the Telecom organization and drive continuous improvement in these areas.

·         Mentor and support professional development of departmental managers and supervisors.  Role model for DaVita Mission and Values at local business office.

·         Provide guidance and support for product and service development and implementation.

·         Manage and develop both channel and vendor relationships.  Work closely with other departments to implement cross discipline synergies.

·         Negotiate and maintain vendor and channel agreements.

·         Establish service level and operating level agreements with customers.  Ensure that business committed SLAs for telecom infrastructure availability are met.

·         Ensure all staffing and operational needs are met to maintain availability and efficient operation of telecom and collaboration solutions.

·         Attend and actively participate in division and department meetings.

·         Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
