We are looking for a skilled Human Resources Business Partner / Generalist focused on building strong relationships as a trusted business partner who can make a significant impact on our fast growing organization. This HRBP is a key position working in our HR (we call it People Services) team that will assist the team in many ways such as these listed below:


Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the HR Generalist:

  • Create strategic business partnership with mid-level leaders on various topics including team effectiveness, leadership development, org structure and compensation.
  • Responsible for multiple projects and initiatives across People Services which impact the business; develops project plans, timelines, milestones and communication plans to ensure project success.
  • Analyzes, advises and fully implements new People Services processes and procedures including creating SOP’s.  Strategically drives change management and adaptation and adherence to new processes.  
  • Partners with teammates and management to communicate regarding various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations
  • Becomes a Subject Matter Expert in the Workday HRIS for creating and managing internal transfers, promotions, organizational changes etc… as needed to facilitate the business needs.   
  • Understands and advises on Human Resource guidelines including safety and security policy and procedures
  • Facilitates and/or provides training, including new teammate orientation, new leader orientation, performance management training, leave management, and onboarding/off boarding to the workforce. 
  • Participates in and/or leads various teammate committees including safety, recognition, wellness and culture.
  • Assists with the creation of teammate recognition initiatives and various teammate events. 
  • Administers various People Services programs and  special projects as assigned
  • Assists leaders and teammates with more escalated and complex payroll, benefit and leave related issues; partners with appropriate centers of excellence to research and resolve issues. Coordinates separation process including exit interviews and unemployment hearings.
  • Understands and advises on the Human Resource guidelines, safety and security policy and procedures
  • Coordinates the Worker's Compensation process by calling in all claims and monitoring results
  • Reports any injury on the workplace premises to a member of the management
  • Other duties as assigned

The Shining Star in this role will have the following work experience, education and certifications:   

  • 5-7 years previous Human Resources Generalist / HRBP experience required, highly prefer 8 to 10 years plus experience as an HRBP or Generalist.
  • Strong Project Management skills: responsible for multiple projects and initiatives across H.R./People Services which impact the business.

  • Proven experience in developing project plans, timelines, milestones and communication plans to ensure project success.

  • Experience in creating strategic business partnerships with mid-level leaders on various topics including team effectiveness, leadership development, org structure and compensation.

  • Experience in analyzing, advising and fully implementing new People Services processes and procedures including creating SOP’s. 

  • Strategically drives change management and adaptation and adherence to new processes

  • Experience working in fast growth companies

  • High level of interpersonal skills, communication skills, and excellent judgment to objectively coach teammates and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues

  • Background in employment law and other government compliance regulations is preferred

  • High level of emotional intelligence / emotional quotient

  • Previous experience conducting training sessions preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required

  • PHR or SHRM Certification strongly preferred, but not required.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Workday experience a plus, strongly prefer previous experience working in a HRIS with employee moves, org changes, etc…

  • Must have good organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization

  • Must have strong presentation skills

  • Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently

  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills required
