The Manager of Patient Accounts is responsible for managing the day to day
operations of a collection team. This would include month-end charge reconciliation, claim generation and the accounts receivable management portion of the revenue cycle. You will oversee the timely and accurate resolution of outstanding accounts receivable in order to achieve collection performance goals and to help achieve our vision of being a trusted village neighborhood and world class revenue partner.
Manage the billing and collection functions of accounts receivable
Maintain a current and thorough understanding of dialysis reimbursement and industry norms; monitor payment trends, escalating issues, concerns and changes in payor behavior as appropriate
Ensure that accounts receivable accurately reflects what is collectible and teammates are performing adjustments in an accurate and timely manner with the appropriate approvals
Make recommendations on changes to existing tools, policies and procedures
Coordinates responsibilities related to change in ownership centers, newly-acquired centers and new clinics as they relate to billing needs responsibilities to continuously improve not only your teams’ results, but the entire village.
As the Supervisor you will supervise employment activity including engagement, hiring, job performance, evaluations and teammate relations.
Qualifications for our Patient Accounts Manager are:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
· Three to five years’ experience in healthcare reimbursement and revenue cycle management preferred
· Minimum of two years’ related supervisory experience required
· Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
· Light travel required
· Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to perform successfully the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position
