Position Description

VillageHealth is currently recruiting for a Director, Government Business in Denver, CO. This newly-created position will have strategic and operational responsibility for high-profile projects impacting VillageHealth integrated care risk programs. The initial focus will include creating the business case for, and subsequently implementing a new infrastructure to support innovative care delivery systems. The position works across VillageHealth and broader DaVita teams to scope key legal and regulatory considerations, technology requirements, and operational processes. The successful candidate for this role with have an entrepreneurial attitude, with proven experience implementing new care delivery models in a complex regulatory environment.

 

The Director, Special Projects will report to the Senior Director, Government Business. In addition, the Director will work closely with VillageHealth operations, legal and regulatory teams in order to implement and ensure the success of creating a stand-alone organization across multiple markets.

Qualifications

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.

  • Create the strategic business plan for new programs. Socialize and obtain approval from executive leadership.
  • Build the implementation plan, including operational, legal, regulatory, and staffing considerations
  • Identify and source key operational components, including required technology (e.g. EMR, billing systems)
  • Create scalable infrastructure for national expansion
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to manage ongoing operations of new entity.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required.

  • Advanced degree, ideally an MBA, with at least 6 years of management experience; track record of effectively leading and scaling a performance- and outcomes-based organization and team;
  • Healthcare experience, preferably in a leadership role within a provider organization
  • Consulting experience preferred
  • Ability to develop and manage high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to business planning
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
