Pharmacy Technician II

Position Description

The Shining Star in this role should have:

  • Strong communication skills for Facility/Patient conversations around medication adherence.
  • Timely, organized response when sending RGA’s (Return labels) to Facilities.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Accurate updates being made to the patient’s account when processing claim reversals.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) and applicable State Pharmacy Technician Certification with demonstrated/maintained good standing required.
  • Demonstrated multitasking ability to work efficiently with other cross-functional groups such as billing, retention, insurance and dispensing, among others.

Accountabilities and Deliverables:

  • Research, complete and file claim documentation for shipment delivery failures and/or damaged shipments.
  • Investigate returned packages for home deliveries and work with appropriate teams to obtain an accurate shipping address.
  • Ensure medications are shipped to facilities when facility is open; collaborate with the Dispensing Teams to identify days facilities are not open.
  • Communicate shipment delays or issues to support teams so facilities and/or home delivery patients can be advised as soon as possible.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification required; in good standing with State Board of Pharmacy
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
