Here's what you can expect as a Business Analyst at DaVita:
Responsible for managing all aspects of data analytics for the Patient Resources Team, while supporting other lanes that report to the Sr. Director.  Aspects of data analytics includes, but not limited to, 1)innovative and creative creation of Ad Hoc reporting based on gathered business requirements, 2) independently managing relationships with other  Business Intelligence and analytics teams such as Excelsior, 3) creative data analytics (continuous analysis of data to identify trends and anomalies, and report to leadership), 4) validating reports created by others and correcting identified issues, 5) running reports to proactively identify IT issues and validate IT fixes,6)  managing IT ticket tracking and resolution, 7) learning and supporting the maintenance of the metadata tables for our system, 8) creating call center reports and analytics, 9) participating in and providing data and analytics for ongoing process improvement initiatives, and 10) other duties as assigned.  Role requires advanced knowledge of, and experience with, SQL and/or other analytical applications and expects independent and creative thinking, and the ability to independently learn more advanced analytical skills to overcome reporting hurdles.  The candidate is expected to be the analytical expert on the team and should possess the ability to provide data-driven recommendations to leadership around key business questions and issues. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Responsible for all aspects of reporting, data analytics, story-boarding the data and  consulting to management

  • Patient A/R related reports and analytics
  • Call-Center related reports and analytics
  • Team metrics creation, reports, analytics
  • Trends and anomalies identification related to payer behavior
  • Trends and anomalies identification related to IT systems
  • Maintenance and control of metadata for system
  • Ad-hoc reporting as needed for all areas of patient team (SWAT, Acutes, GPA, Call Center, Patient Resources)
  • Validation and correction of reports received from other sources
  • Proactive identification of additional reports based on business issues

2. Supports team projects, creates process controls and reports out “defects” to leadership,  and manages relationship with technology partners

  • Manages IT tickets to resolution
  • Manages Excelsior/BI tickets to resolution
  • Participates in and provides data and analytics for ongoing
  • Process improvement initiatives
