Position Description

The Mobile Community of Excellence is the team helping DaVita model the way for integrated care. Our team guides the mobile technology direction, standards and delivery that help to create secure, consistent, branded and amazing mobile app experiences for patients, providers and teammates.

 

As a Senior Mobile iOS Developer, you will play a key role in the Mobile Community of Excellence designing, building, testing, deploying and standardizing the mobile direction within DaVita IT. This position requires a expertise in iOS development and architectural space with the ability set standards, establish guidelines and best practices as well as provide technical consultation and development leadership to new and ongoing mobile efforts. A key part of your responsibilities will include communicating with developers, architects, UI designers and product managers in DaVita as well as provide leadership to development teams from our partners. The ideal candidate must have experience in developing mobile apps, working with diverse business partners and the ability to juggle multiple concurrent development efforts.

 

Relationship and technology are key to this role. The perfect person will have the ability to forge relationships all over DaVita from interacting with business stakeholders, legal & compliance, to understanding technology and innovation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with Architecture and the MCoE iOS Lead to produce reusable components, standardizing iOS applications
  • Be the lead developer on critical applications. Guide the team of teammates    and contractors on best practices
  • Partner with API developers to establish contracts and document them
  • Bring best practices in modern software development to the project and the team.
  • Be a part of the team! Be an excellent partner to QA, API, Web, Design, DevOps and work together to deliver best in class software
  • Enjoy working with multiple stakeholders to understand their needs, use influence to influence to align needs to the overall technology strategy

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be a brilliant developer (non-negotiable) addicted to mobile technology.
  • Be driven to succeed & be self-motivated with the ability to work with little supervision or hand-holding.
  • Be comfortable providing guidance and leadership to junior developers
  • 5+ years iOS mobile application development.
  • Fluent in Swift 3.0
  • Strong knowledge of iOS
  • Xcode, Git, macOS power user
  • Thorough understanding of REST-ful API design: You can design and document a client-server protocol, and you can implement the client side of a documented protocol
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration and leadership skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think logically
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or a minimum of 10 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working on agile teams
  • Must have 2+ year experience in an enterprise environment
