GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Learning Designer's responsibility is to create learning experiences which make the acquisition of knowledge and skill more efficient, effective and appealing to both HR professionals and managers at DaVita. The Trainings will focus primarily on HR skills for managers.

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.
Designs and develops learning material to support training for DaVita Managers and teammates by HR Managers
Creates dynamic, interactive course content including exercises, role plays, simulations and job aids
Ensures learning and performance objectives are appropriate to the audience and that training materials meet those objectives
Creates, edits, synchronizes and/or records both Audio and Video for e-learning courses
Monitors and reports effectiveness and return on investment of all training conducted; revises as needed
Performs training quality assurance checks
Supports and maintains the library for best practice documents, key tools and templates
Uses eLearning tools such to create interactive, SCORM compliant web based training deliverables
Works on multiple projects concurrently, monitors activity, progress, and time related to project development
Works with LMS, IT or software vendor to resolve web based training technical issues or its performance within the LMS
Hosts Train-the-Trainer sessions for facilitation team
Creates template for HR training design consistent with DaVita design standards
Manages the PS Passport program, DaVita’s on-boarding program for HR Teammates
Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of adult learning theory
Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to produce courses and projects that meet program requirements
Analytical skills with the ability to seek out underlying assumptions through probing, questioning, and listening
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively
Ability to work effectively at both detail and big-picture levels and to drive projects forward
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; advanced PowerPoint user (visuals, graphics), SharePoint, Advanced Excel, familiar with macros
Experience administering, creating and hosting e-learning programs
Knowledge of content development and testing/survey tools
Ability to apply structured problem solving (taking a large, complex problem and breaking it down into components, involve others as needed, drive resolution)
Ability to drive tactical execution; willing to roll-up the sleeves to complete projects in an environment with competing deadlines
Enjoys working in a fast paced changing environment; ability to be flexible and resilient
Excellent time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize effectively
High aptitude for managing and solving tactical issues
Strong analytical skills, ability to create viable solutions, innovation, and ability to execute flawlessly
Bachelor’s Degree, Certificate or equivalent work experience required; Learning Design/Development or other related field preferred
5+ years related experience
Facilitation skills a plus
Graphic design experience a plus
Two (2) or more years of HR specific training experience
Curriculum design and adult training delivery experience
