Endpoint engineers apply their vast technical knowledge to solve a variety of large enterprise technological challenges. They conduct research and perform product evaluations of new technologies, including the testing and implementation of proposed endpoint solutions. Endpoint engineers participate in strategic planning sessions to determine what technologies are available and what could be utilized to satisfy future business objectives. Endpoint engineers work to create, introduce, design and investigate numerous hardware and software platforms. As part of this process, they work to create proper documentation, diagrams and other detailed instructions to help other teammates make the best use of new technologies. Endpoint engineers typically work in an office and lab environment. They may travel throughout the community to meet with various customers and teams on occasion.
Responsible to assess and recommend innovative use and implementations of new features and technologies related to endpoint solutions.
Enhance our customer's End User Experience while driving efficiencies into all aspects of our service delivery.
Assist with certification and documentation of hardware and software configurations.
Recommending and maintaining hardware and software standards list.
Ensure enterprise management tooling features and capabilities are fully utilized to the client's benefit and sustenance of our life cycle management program.
Assists with rollout of new/upgraded endpoint software packages.
Create and document support processes for troubleshooting software configurations specific to the client operating environments.
Participate in Hardware/Software Governance Board.
Assist our client’s with technology assessments of equipment and software platforms.

A solid understanding of endpoint management technologies and processes (as listed in the JD) balanced with strong team leadership and client communications are key attributes to success in this position.
o 5+ years of Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows 7, 8.1, & 10, macOS, iOS) experience required
o 5+ years of system management experience required (LANDesk or SCCM) experience required
o Mobile device management knowledge
o Active Directory and Group Policy experience
o Collaborative tools (e-mail, instant messaging, web and video conferencing)
o Microsoft Exchange and Outlook
o Microsoft Office Productivity suite 2010, 2013, 2016
o Hardware and software testing and evaluation
o Automated test tools
o Local Area Network (LAN) technologies
o Encryption technologies
o Scripting knowledge
o Understanding/familiarity with Image Development and Management w/Microsoft MDT
o Understanding/familiarity with design and configuration of virtual environments/solutions (VMWare Horizon products, ESX, Citrix or Hyper-V)
o Solid Network Infrastructure Principles knowledge required
o Tier 3 and 4 Support in an Enterprise Desktop Environment preferred
o Cross-Functional Team Leadership Experience in a large ITILv3 compliant Enterprise Environment is required
o Higher level platform-related certifications (e.g., (MCSA, MCSE, MCSD, MCP, RHCE, RHDS, RHCA, LPIC-2, LPIC-3, VCP, VCAP, SNIA, etc.) recommended
o Higher level systems-related certifications (e.g., ESEP, CSEP) recommended
