General Purpose of the job:
Insure physicians and allied health professionals (AHP) providing patient care in Lifeline centers are appropriately licensed and credentialed with Medicare, Medicaid and other third party payors. Coordinates and monitors certain aspects of physician privileging. Oversees the integrity of information stored in databases. Provides leadership and guidance to direct reports to ensure deadlines are met and information communicated is accurate. Position works cross-functionally with multi- disciplinary teams, physicians, payors and other external customers to optimize timely care for patients and business results.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Direct and monitor workflow of payor credentialing efforts and physician privileging efforts.
Provide leadership to direct reports
Liaison w/ ROPS and Payor Contract Directors on behalf of credentialing team
Obtains, verifies, enters as well as oversees the utilization of multiple and evolving software platforms for physician credentialing document preparation, submission, and retention and reporting.
Collaborate and coordinate with Center Program Development team and others for new service line and facility programs for payer.
Prepare reports for Joint Commission liaison
Lifeline Vascular Access works with premier physician practices to develop and manage outpatient centers that provide focused and coordinated vascular access procedures to patients receiving hemodialysis treatment for end-stage renal disease (ESRD). We currently manage more than 60 physician-owned vascular access centers where we provide physician practices with financial and outcomes reporting, staffing and training, facility operations, regulatory compliance, and insurance billing services. - High School diploma
- 2 years' related supervisor experience
- 2 years' experience in healthcare
- Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 2 years' credentialing experience
- CPCS certification (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist)
