GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
This position creates, reviews, and processes accurate and timely payroll for large divisions in a multi-state, multi-company environment. Position works closely with other teams within the Payroll department and across the organization and participates in year-end Payroll functions as well as exercises knowledge of Payroll tax and law in daily work.
PAYROLL COORDINATOR –LEVEL II
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.
Receive, download, and check facility payroll hours from time and attendance system to ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely for each payroll cycle
Perform adjustments and produce manual checks (including but not limited to bonuses and severance)
Work with large files for upload of changes to payroll data (including but not limited to status changes and large bonus files)
Verify Paid Time Off accruals and transfers
Analyze and review payroll reports and information within process guidelines including but not limited to gross pay to net pay calculations, bonuses, vacations, terminations and other processing exception items
Assist with year-end payroll adjustments and reconciliation; requires knowledge and understanding of how paycheck is calculated and why; how paycheck translates to W-2
Participate in system testing during upgrades and other system changes
Other duties as assigned

(Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required):
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 6 years’ payroll experience or 3 years’ experience and CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification required; multi-state payroll experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated working knowledge of payroll, processes, procedures, and systems in a high-volume, fast-paced, production environment; Peoplesoft experience preferred
Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
