Supervisor, Pharmacy Integrated Care

 

DaVita Rx, located in Coppell, TX is seeking an experienced Supervisor, preferably someone with a Clinical background in Pharmacy or Nursing  with supervision skills to join our Integrated Care Team. 

The Supervisor of Pharmacy Integrated Care is a position that is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a team of Technicians and Representatives. This position plans, directs, supervises, and helps evaluate/coordinate work activities to ensure the pharmacy integrated care products are completed timely, efficiently, and within quality standards.

 

The Supervisor recognizes and recommends operational improvements, is responsible for the day-to-day application of organizational policies and procedures, monitors and measures performance of teammates, and demonstrates an ability to effectively manage human resource issues (timekeeping, attendance, performance management, etc.) timely. Develop and maintain relationships with Key Organization Leaders, stakeholders, and customers both internally and externally.

 

Essential Job Duties Include: 

  • Coordinate, plan, manage, and monitor daily workflow to ensure team is satisfactorily meeting targeted objectives established for the department by implementing creative solutions to workflow and staffing challenges

  • Coordinate with the management team to plan production staffing requirements for each position profile on a daily, weekly, and quarterly basis

  • Participate as an SME to problem solve and make recommendations (based on identified best practices) for process & procedures development and SOPs.

  • Work collaboratively with leadership to recommend and implement solutions related to workflow, training, processes, metrics, and performance (based on audit results and summary of data).

  • Maintain absolute compliance to all applicable regulations; document appropriately and follow through on all actions items timely.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with KOL, stakeholders, and customers both internally and externally.

 

Coaching and Development of Direct Reports:  

  • Provide leadership to direct reports and be responsible for hiring, supervising, developing (goal setting, performance reviews, etc). Manage performance of teammates, conduct monthly meetings to review performance stats, and lead weekly

  • Partner with the appropriate teammates to develop and conduct educational programs to keep teammates up-to-date on DaVita policies, new laws, and regulations impacting work, and other information necessary to maintain teammates’ knowledge of department processes and goals.

  • Create an environment of trust with the teammates while fostering the culture of DaVita Rx and ensuring that the morale and motivation of teammates is made high priority.

  • Audit performance and interpret/review quality, compliance and performance measurements in order to identify areas of opportunity within the team’s activities and operational processes.

Qualifications

The Shining Star for this role will have the following Education, Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, BSN, PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) is a plus    

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a fast-paced, performance-focused business environment with a minimum of 12 direct reports.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to drive process improvements and enhancements

  • Pharmacy or healthcare experience required, Specialty pharmacy experience preferred

  • Pharmacist preferred, but not required

  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required with 40 words per minute typing speed, or above.
