OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
Working under the direction of the Manager of PACIS, this position is responsible for the support of the enterprise clinical applications used within Healthcare Partners. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: leading all projects, training and application support including upgrades and maintenance. Will work with market physicians to help HCP achieve its corporate strategies and aligns the NextGen technology solutions with business strategies while working primarily with internal staff, consultants, physicians, and internal users. Will partner with the leads from various markets to ensure that the vison of enterprise standardization and support is leveraged and applied successfully. Proactively identifies opportunities, resolves potential service issues, conducts analyses, performs needs assessments and prepares cost / benefit assessments.
•Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate HealthCare Partners’ (HCP) commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and every internal and external customer.
•Acts as an integral part of the Information Services Department support team.
•Works closely with the clinical teammates to establish and maintain good working relationships.
•Represent the IS department in appropriate work group, teams, committees and meetings.
•Act as the primary liaison for all change and system enhancement requests
•Conducts various types of meetings with physicians and/or representatives from their offices.
•Ensures that appropriate documentation exists for all applications, processes, policies and deliverables.
•Support staff in the efficient and thorough completion of work related tasks.
•Works with IS management to establish and maintain proper staffing levels.
•Manages deliverables within budget.
•Uses, protects, and discloses HCP patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
•Performs additional duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Evaluates requests, troubleshoots problems, performs needed research and provides requested information and/or routes issues to IT Development.
•Provide thorough problem resolution and/or escalation
•Provide experienced, professional support to a wide variety of customers with a full understanding of area of specialization.
•Knowledgeable with company standards and computer system inquiries
•Advanced familiarity with Lab Applications as well as the knowledge to support the Lab Operations
•Applies policies, procedures, and compliance regulations governing laboratory operations as applicable
•Partner with other IT Support/Quality teammates to support departmental projects.
•Identify and/or communicate problem resolution of IT related issues to Laboratory teammates.
•Grant Access and Permissions in Lab Applications, i.e. Add facility Access, Grant new teammate access, Perform password resets.

• A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college and/or equivalent work experience
• Over 5 years of experience in healthcare IT
• Experience with NextGen PM/EHR
• NextGen certified
• Template/Reporting design experience
• Experience in a healthcare IT setting, physician practice strongly preferred

• Computer literate.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Strong people skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to travel as needed
