Here's what you can expect as a Corporate Compliance Manager at DaVita:
This position is responsible for assisting the Corporate Compliance Director in supporting the Company’s successful execution of the Domestic Dialysis compliance program, including activities required by DaVita’s Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA).  Particular areas of focus include supporting the day-to-day compliance matters and questions across the organization, the continued maintenance and development of enterprise policies and procedures, and special project as assigned by the Corporate Compliance Director.  Areas of expertise should include the ability to draft new or modified compliance policies and procedures, work cross functionally with all levels of the organization, effectively communicate across various departments internally and externally, and the capacity to manage competing priorities related to healthcare compliance, federal healthcare program laws and CMS regulations.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Reports to the Corporate Compliance Director;
  • Partners and collaborates with all levels of the organization, including leadership and legal counsel to modify, develop and implement compliance policies and procedures;
      • Manages policy documentation database called DocumentQUEST and provides Administration support to Key Stakeholders
      • Maintaining and developing enterprise compliance policies and procedures for multiple business units, including support of operational implementation (as needed)
      • Supporting day-to-day compliance matters and policy questions that arise via our compliance email box and other avenues
    • Provides and tracks corrective action, as appropriate, across the compliance department;
    • Develops responses to compliance questions received from internal teammates;
    • Develops all Compliance Communications;
  • Leads special projects as requested by the Corporate Compliance Director and/or Senior Leadership
  • Travel required: Minimal

Qualifications

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
 
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/CHC or other relevant advanced degree or certification preferred, Project Management experience;  
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple high-level projects in a fast-paced environment;
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a legal or compliance professional responsible;
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industries dealing with federal healthcare program laws including, but not limited to Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act and Civil Monetary Penalty Law and CMS regulations;
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with demonstrated attention to detail;
  • Demonstrated executive level presentation experience;
  • Experience in positively and successfully managing relationships with a high energy and diverse group of leaders across organizational lines;
  • Solid technology skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • A thoughtful, articulate and effective communicator who can distill and articulate the important aspects of any issue to a wide audience of participants;
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and quickly becoming a trusted advisor to senior leadership in order to navigate complex matters;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including presentations) and the ability to drive execution in a team environment;
  • Must be self-motivated, team player with proven ability to identify issues and manage priorities in a fast paced environment while striving for practical business solutions;
  • Hands on, efficient and proven ability to “Get Stuff Done” with a bias for action and a strong sense of ownership.
