Position Description

The Analyst will be part of a team accountable for clinical operations special projects for VillageHealth and instrumental in advancing DaVita’s evolution from a fee for service to a value based world.

 

This role will be responsible for contributing to and leading multiple work-streams to prepare DaVita VillageHealth to assume full clinical and financial accountability for our patients, and will work across government lines of business. This will include evaluating strategic opportunities, analyzing operations processes, implementing key initiatives and developing high-level communications to enable broad adoption, amongst other special projects. 

 

This strategically vital role provides opportunity for career advancement and extensive interaction with many of VillageHealth’s Directors and VPs across all areas of the business. In addition, this role will have exposure to many other areas of the DaVita Village.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


The Analyst must be able to work successfully with cross-functional teams and have the maturity to interact directly with senior leadership across departments. The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive:

  • Analytics:
    • Evaluate opportunities using hypothesis based problem solving.
    • Engage in market backed development of strategic plans, operational programs and communication campaigns, with stakeholder input and root cause analyses.
    • Perform ad-hoc analyses and identify critical questions to drive further insight into advancing VillageHealth’s strategic goals.
    • Perform process mapping to: 1) identify critical bottlenecks and 2) propose strategies to optimize existing or new clinical and operational processes.

  • High Impact Communication:
    • Convey qualitative and quantitative findings in a cohesive story, including identifying themes, summarizing insights and making recommendations; build appropriate presentations and communications.
  • Leadership:
    • Collaborate and, in some cases, lead cross-functional teams to execute a strategic analysis, implementation, work plan, or other strategic initiative.
    • Identify, communicate, and execute on new opportunities and key questions related to our business or team-related functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-2 years of related experience in consulting, healthcare analytics, operations strategy or process strategy
  • Six Sigma green belt preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and intellectual curiosity
  • Innovative and flexible thinker with strong project management skills, who can drive multiple projects simultaneously across multiple teams
  • Dynamic, high energy self-started that can fit in well with a fast paced team and is comfortable with ambiguity
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required
  • Travel: required up to 30-40% 
  • This role can sit in Denver, CO or El Segundo, CA
