Position Description

The Mobile Community of Excellence is the team helping DaVita model the way for integrated care. Our team guides the mobile technology direction, standards and delivery that help to create secure, consistent, branded and amazing mobile app experiences for patients, providers and teammates.

 

As the DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in the Mobile Community of Excellence creating, planning and implementing best practices for continuous integration, app support, automation and release management. This position requires a strong background working in the mobile space specific to enterprise and consumer app store releases, thorough understanding of app provisioning profiles, code signing, source control and build management, and support of enterprise applications.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent work experience
  • Working knowledge of multiple IDE’s (Eclipse, XCode)
  • Strong knowledge of iOS and Android
  • Must have demonstrated experience in iOS and Android release management
  • Experience with CI (i.e. Hudson,Jenkins)
  • Experience with git and GitHub to manage and share source code
  • Proficient with MacOS or Windows
  • A passion for mobile technologies
  • Travel required: minimal
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience integrating 3rd party source code and/or libraries
  • JBoss and IIS experience
  • Experience consuming and developing XML and JSON web services
  • Experience working on agile teams
  • Knowledge of Test-Driven Development principles and tools for iOS
  • Understanding of concurrent programming and which thread a given piece of logic should run on
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration and leadership skill
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think logically
  • Manage risk and change with an agile approach
  • Adept at learning new technologies quickly
  • Experience designing web service API intended for mobile apps
  • Use of private app store or OTA distribution
  • Experience with cross-platform mobile development tools
