The Senior Manager will be a core member of the Hospital Services National Team, which supports our field operators through identification of opportunities for improvement and development and implementation of solutions that streamline the delivery of care, while making it safer and more effective.  The Hospital Services National Team consists of multiple lanes including: Clinical, Finance, Operations, Account Management, Strategy, Biomed, Legal & Compliance. The Senior Manager Role will work with all of these functions to drive strategic and operational improvement.


Essential Duties:


The Senior Manager, Strategy and Operations (Hospital Services) will be responsible for driving the thinking and execution on key strategy initiatives as well as key operational priorities for the Hospital Services National Team. The Senior Manager will be responsible for managing 1-2 Analysts and report to the Sr. Director of Strategy and Operations for Hospital Services. Example Responsibilities below:


Strategy:

  • Lead the development of the annual Hospital Services strategy
  • Track and develop responses to competitive threats and opportunities
  • Manage supplier relationships including contracting for our ancillary therapies
  • Support the field in growth planning; aggregating plans for report out to leadership
  • Lead the identification of opportunities for differentiation of DaVita Hospital Services within the competitive landscape, partnering with the Acct Management team and Sales teams
  • Lead the development of the Hospital Services role within Integrated Kidney Care
  • Manage the implementation of recommended changes in partnership with field leadership

Operations:

  • Lead development of tools and best practices to drive efficiency in the delivery of care
  • Identify best technological partners for improved efficiency and data accuracy across operations
  • Partner with Biomedical leadership to identify and manage capital allocations across the field for ancillary therapies
  • Engage with Finance to improve and automate reporting of operational metrics
  • Work with large operational datasets to identify trends and opportunities for improvement; in partnership with Manager of Clinical and Operational Analytics
  • Manage and delegate requests for support from field leadership
  • Manage the implementation of recommended changes in partnership with field leadership

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4-8 years of relevant experience with progressive responsibilities focused on strategy, operations and/or project management (healthcare preferred)
  • MBA or graduate degree preferred, but not required (business, natural sciences, or healthcare related field preferred)
  • Effective written and verbal communicator with all levels of management, executives and outside vendors
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify insights from large data sets
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to lead and manage resources in a highly matrixed organization
  • Strong project management skills including planning, development and delivery
  • Ability to take initiative, plan, prioritize and execute, independently, the completion of all projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through
  • Strong time management skills, ability to prioritize, and the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Innovative approach to problem solving
