Position Description

Lifeline Vascular Access works with premier physician practices to develop and manage outpatient centers that provide focused and coordinated vascular access procedures to patients receiving hemodialysis treatment for end-stage renal disease (ESRD).  We currently manage more than 70 physician-owned vascular access centers where we provide physician practices with financial and outcomes reporting, staffing and training, facility operations, regulatory compliance, and insurance billing services.  The Lifeline network of managed vascular access centers is accredited by the Joint Commission.  Lifeline Vascular Access is a business unit of DaVita Inc., the nation's largest independent provider of dialysis services in the United States, dedicated to providing services to patients diagnosed with chronic kidney failure.  DaVita Inc. is a member of the Fortune 500, servicing patients in 43 states and in more than 1,800 outpatient dialysis centers.  DaVita also provides acute inpatient dialysis services to patients in more than 800 hospitals across the country. The Data Analyst is responsible for data collection, reporting, and analysis for Lifeline Vascular Access and work across multiple teams to understand the needs of the business and how to use data to better understand problems and create solutions. May be tasked with additional data queries and reporting to address the changing needs of our business and clients form cross functional teams including Clinical Operations, Marketing, Business Development and Payor Contracting.

  • Utilize complex computer systems to mine Lifeline’s data sources and generate meaningful reports to address business needs including the support Lifeline’s current data visualization platform, ION (Tableau), including updating data feeds, checking for accuracy, and generating new dashboards as appropriate
  • Conduct regional or divisional classroom training as Partner with clinical and operations teams as well as Lifeline physicians to create and manage reports needed for their business lines Serve as a liaison to business and clinical teammates providing guidance on how to navigate data systems and gain understanding of Lifeline’s data
  • Build relationships across the company and within the industry to support improved competitive intelligence and strategic analysis developing, implementing, and monitoring performance metrics within the company.
  • Identify and maintain credible industry benchmarks to drive operational excellence

Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required

Bachelor’s degree required

Reporting skillset: SQL, Tableau 10.x or higher, Cognos 10.x or higher

Analytics skillset: OpenSource R (bonus)

1-3 years of directly applicable experience in an business intelligence role

Previous experience in healthcare a plus

Skills in Excel and PowerPoint required

Demonstrated analytical, quantitative and logical thinking skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills
