Position Description

The Communications Specialist is a results-driven, analytical, open-minded individual committed to our core values. The successful candidate will be a positive team player who understands how to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

 

The Communications Specialist will participate in driving the long- and short-term communications strategy, both internal and external, along with the management of key day-to-day communications channels and operations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Internal/external communications

  • Have knowledge and understanding of changing video landscape, business needs for video
  • Create and curate content for internal communications channels
  • Ownership of DaVita intranet as business owner of content, governance committee – ensuring content is updated and engaging
  • Can act as key partner across DaVita Village to deliver communications planning and counsel
  • Ability to write communications plans, with oversight, and implement on behalf of internal partners
  • Manage video strategy and deliver on strategy
  • Manage video analytics and reporting, along with editorial content and calendars
  • Innovate and continue to look for opportunities to improve process and engagement for DaVita teammates
  • Work with business units to coordinate enterprise-level strategy
  • Identify opportunities to repurpose internal content for media and social media
  • Enhance video resources for multimedia offerings and social offerings
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing colleagues and partners on content strategy
  • Produce, edit and direct internal newscasts for teammates
  • May participate in issues and risk management as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of communications experience or related field
