Nurse Student Internships
Designed for nursing students in any year of undergraduate learning, you'll rotate at a DaVita dialysis clinic for one day while shadowing an RN. You'll observe what it's like to treat patients with advanced chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD).
Nurse Internship: 4-6 Week Student Rotation
This is a longer clinical rotation where you'll rotate for 4-6 weeks at a DaVita dialysis clinic until your required clinical hours are completed. You'll participate in hands-on approved activities, as well as shadow an RN and other clinical staff, learning first-hand what it's like to treat patients with advanced chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD).
Upon completion of your undergraduate degree, rotations, and successful passing of the the NCLEX, you and your mentor can discuss the options for working as an RN at DaVita.

Any newly hired nurses with less than 12 months of nursing experience have the opportunity to be a part of DaVita’s Transition to Practice clinical and leadership developmental program. This program helps bridge the gap between theory and practice and contributing to overall culture of safety, improved teammate and patient experience.
Through our Transition to Practice program, our new nurses have increased confidence, job and professional satisfaction, engagement, organizational commitment and retention.

This program provides a practical experience to students interested in working in a clinical setting with dialysis patients. You'll receive supervised training and mentoring, focusing on the comfort and safety of each patient. Students will have the opportunity to connect with dialysis technicians, social workers, dietitians, and DaVita leaders throughout their internship.
Upon successful completion of your internship and program of study, you and your mentor can discuss the options for working as a PCT at DaVita.
Eligibility Requirements: You must be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited medical assistant, certified nursing assistant, or dialysis technician program.

Dietetic Student Rotations
Designed for students in any year of undergraduate learning, you'll rotate at a DaVita dialysis clinic for one week or less, depending on your needs. You'll shadow a Dietitian and learn the nutrition standards of care for a dialysis patient.
2-8 Week Student Rotation
This is an immersive program for students in any year of undergraduate learning. You'll rotate at a DaVita dialysis clinic for 2-8 weeks, depending on your needs. You'll gain practical clinical experience and learn about renal nutrition. You'll also have supervised patient interactions, where you'll actively participate in nutrition and laboratory data assessments and care plans.
Upon completion of your undergraduate degree and one year of clinical experience, you can apply to work as a Dietitian at DaVita.
Eligibility Requirements: You must be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited BS Nutrition/Dietetics program.

Graduate Program, First/Second Year MSW Students
This graduate program introduces students to the clinical aspect of social work. You'll receive supervised training and mentoring, learning how to treat patients and their families as they cope with the effects of kidney disease. You'll gain hands-on training in case management, including patient plan assessment and evaluation, as well as best practices for monitoring the treatment process and health care needs of patients.
Eligibility Requirements: You must be currently enrolled full-time or have recently completed an accredited MSW program.

A yearlong immersive experience in one of our clinics, where you'll receive real opportunities to lead the business, develop a culture, drive clinical results and discover your own leadership potential.
