Home Dialysis

Home Dialysis PCTs support patients doing peritoneal dialysis (PD) or home hemodialysis (HHD) outside the center. Working with home RNs, they help patients learn to manage their care safely and confidently.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assist nurses with training and education for home treatments
  • Teach patients to identify and respond to complications
  • Encourage confidence and independence in home care
  • Provide ongoing support and communication for treatment success

In-Center Hemodialysis

In-Center Hemodialysis PCTs provide direct patient care during dialysis under an RN’s supervision. They monitor patients throughout treatment to support safe, effective care.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assess and respond to patient needs during treatment
  • Monitor vital signs and treatment progress
  • Assist with post-dialysis care and documentation
  • Maintain a safe, compassionate treatment environment

Hospital Services Group

Hospital Services Group partners with over 800 hospitals nationwide to provide dialysis for patients during hospital stays. In this fast-paced setting, PCTs deliver safe, effective hemodialysis under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include:
  • Support RNs in providing dialysis to hospitalized patients
  • Monitor vital signs and treatment response in an acute setting
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout treatment
  • Adapt to the fast pace and unique needs of hospital care

Skilled Nursing Facility

PCTs provide dialysis wherever patients need treatment, including skilled nursing facilities. Using a den model, ensuring patients receive the same high-quality care as in outpatient centers.

Opportunities include:
  • Provide dialysis care in various settings, including skilled nursing facilities
  • Work as part of a dedicated care team delivering hemodialysis on-site
  • Ensure patients receive the same high-quality care

Has earned CMS approved PCT certification, can administer more advanced steps of dialysis care.
